Hello! I’m Melba. I love music! Can you hear the leaves? Swish, swish. Can you tap your knees? Tap, tap, stop! That’s our little song. You can clap, tap, or just listen. Let’s make some music together. There’s a little music in every day!
A little rhythm. A lot of joy.
A rustling leaf. A soft tap on a log. The patter of little feet. Melba loves listening, finding a beat and making room for every friend to join in their own way.
A little prehistoric discovery
Parasaurolophus ate plants and had a long crest on its head. Scientists think that crest may have helped it make sounds.
What gentle sound would you make to say hello?

Find a beat with Melba
Tap your knees softly: tap, tap, pause. Now try it again. Or simply listen while a friend makes a little rhythm.
There’s more than one way to join in. Looking, listening and imagining all count.
